AR(Anti reflective) Glass
Custom Anti-Reflective Glass | AR Coated & Low-Reflection Glass Manufacturer China
Zilang Tech specializes in tempered glass manufacturing, provides customized coated glass solutions across a range of industries. Our product lineup includes anti-reflective (AR) glass, anti-fingerprint (AF) glass, anti-glare (AG) glass etc.
Take our AR glass for example. It uses advance magnetron sputtering coating technology, which applies a thin, anti-reflective layer to the surface of standard reinforced glass. This coating does two important things: It cuts down surface reflection significantly and boosts light transmission at the same time. The result? Colors come through more vividly, images look sharper, and the overall display feels more true to life.
We understand that every application has its own requirements, so we offer fully customized AR glass tailored to your specs. If you’re curious about what we can do for you, just contact us, we’re happy to provide a free quote and walk you through the details.
What you are interest in AR glass
AR glass mainly used as a protective cover for electronic displays where clarity and visibility most important, especially in applications which need higher light transmittance and lower surface reflection. Usually you will find it on LCD and PDP TV, laptops, desktop monitors, in car screens, fitness equipment displays, outdoor digital signage, medial instruments, camera viewfinders, showcase windows and even military grade display panels. Commonly wherever a screen needs to keep brightness, clear and readable under challenging lighting conditions, AR glass is the best choice.

Reasons for why anti-reflective(AR) glass selected?
♦Excellent light transmission: With peak visible light transmittance up to 99% and average levels exceeding 95%, AR glass greatly improves display clarity and brightness, making it ideal for high-end applications. Its superior anti-glare properties significantly reduce eye strain by minimizing surface reflections, even under intense lighting conditions. Furthermore, the enhanced contrast ratio ensures that visual content remains sharp and vivid, delivering a more immersive viewing experience. This combination of optical performance and durability makes AR glass a preferred choice for demanding environments where visual precision is paramount.
♦Ultra low reflectance: Average reflection rate below 0.5% across the visible spectrum, effectively eliminating ghosting and double images.ensuring that users perceive a single, clear image without visual artifacts. This is critical for applications requiring prolonged focus, such as medical imaging, architectural visualization, and advanced driver-assistance systems (ADAS),where even minor visual distortions can lead to misinterpretation or reduced performance.
♦Vivid color performance: Maintains high color accuracy with a wide gamut coverage, ensuring that displayed content remains true to life. This ensures that critical details: Such as subtle tissue variations in a medical scan or the precise hue of a warning signal are rendered with absolute fidelity. The display achieves a Delta E value of less than 2,ensuring color-critical professionals can rely on the monitor for consistent and repeatable results across different sessions and lighting conditions.
♦Built-in UV protection: Reduces UV transmission to help protect sensitive components and minimize long-term degradation of the panel, extending the operational lifespan of the display in demanding environments.such as operating rooms or outdoor monitoring stations.
♦High heat tolerance: Withstand temperatures more than 500°C without performance degradation, making it suitable for industrial and high-temperature environments like foundries or engine test cells. The display is engineered to operate reliably in ambient temperatures ranging from -20°C to 60°C, ensuring consistent performance in extreme climates, from arctic cold storage facilities to desert-based control rooms. The robust thermal management system actively dissipates heat through a sealed, fan less design, eliminating the need for internal fans that could introduce dust or mechanical failure.
♦Superior scratch resistance: The AR coating is engineered with a hardness rating of 9H on the Mohs scale, effectively resisting scratches from keys, tools, or accidental impacts. While standard PC/PMMA usually only 2-3H.
♦Chemical resistance:Resists damage from a wide range of cleaning agents including acidic and alkaline solutions, industrial solvents, and disinfectants.
♦Strong impact resistance: A 3mm thick AR glass panel offers the same impact resistance as a 6mm thick standard PMMA, reducing weight while maintaining durability against accidental collisions or falling objects.
♦Uncompromising viewing angles: Different from acrylic, it can narrow the viewing angle after installation, AR glass preserves the original field of view.
♦Supeior surface flatness: AR glass keeps excellent evenness across large surfaces, a clear advantage over acrylic, which tends to warp or bow over time, especially in larger panels.

What’s the differences between 3A(AR, AG, AF) glass?

AR(Anti Reflection Glass): At a glance
- Definition:Optical coating applied to glass surfaces to reduce reflectance and increase transmittance (peak >99%, reflectance <1%).
- Applications: Ideal for display windows, touchscreens, and high-end electronic devices where clarity and visibility are critical.
- Function: Delivers clearer, sharper display content for a superior visual experience.
- Quick identify: Compare with normal glass against a screen, more clear one is AR glass.
- Compatibility: AG glass can also receive an AR coating for added performance.

AG(Anti Glare Glass): At a glance
AG(Anti glare) glass is made by chemically etching or spraying the surface to create a matt, textured finish. The rough surface scatters light instead of reflecting it directly.
What it does:
When light hits the glass, it spreads out in different directions. This cuts down glare and keeps your eyes from feeling strained, making the screen more comfortable to look at. The lower the gloss, the better the anti-glare effect. AG glass comes in single-sided or double-sided versions: If you use single-sided, always place the AG side facing up.
What’s the application:
Mainly in outdoor displays or bright environments, such as advertising screens, ATMs, POS machines, medical ultrasound monitors, e-readers, gas station displays, and subway ticket scanners.
How to identify it?
Hold the glass under a fluorescent light and look at the light through the front of the glass. If the light looks scattered or blurry, that’s the AG side. If you can see the light clearly, that’s the non-AG side. It’s the quickest and easiest way to tell.

AF(Anti Fingerprint Glass): At a glance
AF(Anti fingerprint) glass idea comes from lotus leaf effect. A nanoscale coating is applied to the glass surface, creating a hydrophobic and oleophobic layer. This prevents oil, sweat, and fingerprints from sticking easily.
What It Does
Dirt, fingerprints, and grease wipe off easily. The surface also feels smoother and more comfortable to the touch.
What’s the application
Perfect for touchscreen display covers on all kinds of devices. The coating applied on single side(usually the front/top side).
Combination options
AF coatings can be combined with other treatments, such as AG+AF, AR+AF, or AG+AR+AF.
How to identify it?
Drop a water on surface, if it rolls off freely that’s the AF side.
Try drawing on it with an oil based pen. If it leaves no mark, that’s the AF side.
